The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR) announces that a number of 484 eligible but unfunded projects of young farmers from mountain and non-mountain areas will receive funding following the budget supplementation for sub-measure 6.1 with an amount of 20.84 million euros.
Thus, through the approval of additional selection reports, 90 young farmers from the mountain area, with projects having a total public value of 4,110,000 euros, and 394 young farmers from the non-mountain area, with projects having a total public value of 16,720,000 euros, have been selected for funding from the List of eligible but unfunded projects under sM 6.1 session 01/2021.
In 2021, accessing non-reimbursable funds through sub-measure 6.1 "Support for the installation of young farmers" enjoyed major interest from young people.
Given the insufficient funds and the number of eligible projects that remained unfunded, the Managing Authority initiated the modification of the National Rural Development Program 2014-2020 to supplement the allocation for sub-measure 6.1.
Thus, following the approval of version 18.1 of the National Rural Development Program by Decision C(2024) 2940 dated 26.04.2024, the budget for sub-measure 6.1 was supplemented with an amount of 20.84 million euros.
In the coming period, AFIR will notify the applicants selected for funding, according to the additional selection reports published on the AFIR website, to conclude the funding contracts. Please note that the maximum implementation period for the business plans is 30.09.2025.
