AFIR Launches New Digital Tool for Local Action Groups Funded Through DR-36 LEADER Intervention

The Agency for Financing Rural Investments (AFIR) is introducing a new digital tool designed for Local Action Groups (LAGs) that have secured funding through the DR-36 LEADER Intervention: Community-Led Local Development, part of the 2023–2027 Strategic Plan (PS 2027).

This initiative complements AFIR’s ongoing efforts to digitalize administrative processes, thereby streamlining the activities carried out by LAGs.

Test Platform Available Between May 27 – June 3, 2025

A test version of the digital platform will be available from May 27 to June 3, 2025, accessible via the official website www.afir.ro. The platform is intended for LAG representatives, offering a secure, controlled environment where users can explore, simulate, and understand operational workflows without affecting real project data.

This initiative aims to help LAG users become familiar with the functionalities of the digital system, which will be officially and mandatorily used during the implementation phase of Local Development Strategies (LDS) and their related projects.

Mandatory Testing for All LAGs

All Local Action Groups are required to test this new tool to ensure a smooth and efficient transition once the platform becomes fully operational.

Access to the platform will be granted using the existing individual digital login credentials (username and password) already used by LAGs when submitting their local development strategies.
