The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR) has initiated the authorization process for the payment of National Transitional Aid (NTA) in the plant sector, for the 2023 application year, after the National Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA) has established the amounts for these forms of support.
"We have managed to unlock payments related to NTA in the plant sector, and in the immediate future, payments for the zootechnical sector will also be made, with 180,000 applications currently being considered. Additionally, starting tomorrow, eligible applications for the greening agri-environmental scheme PD-04 will begin to be authorized for payment. So far, 164,885 farmers have been authorized for payment, with a total amount of 30,969,641.87 lei," said Minister of Agriculture, Florin BARBU.
In accordance with the provisions of Government Decision no. 125/16.02.2024 approving the ceilings allocated to national transitional aid in the plant sector for the 2023 application year, published in the Official Gazette no. 140/19.02.2024, the ceiling value is 88,126.943 thousand euros and is provided from the state budget, through the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR).
Payments are made in lei, at the exchange rate of 4.9735 lei for one euro, set by the European Central Bank on September 29, 2023, and published in the Official Journal of the European Union, Series C, no. 3 of October 2, 2023.
"The authorization process continues at a sustained pace until all eligible applications for the allocation of national transitional aid in the plant sector are completed," said Cornel TURCESCU, Director-General of APIA. The amounts involved can be consulted on the institution's website.
