APIA Begins Payment of State Aid for Agricultural Diesel Used in Q2 and Q3 of 2024

The Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA), through its County Centers, is initiating the payment of state aid for diesel used in agriculture, covering the periods from April 1 to June 30, 2024 (Q2/2024 adjustment – land improvement) and July 1 to September 30, 2024 (Q3/2024), in accordance with the provisions of Order of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (OMADR) No. 87/2025.

The total amount allocated for payment is RON 297,054,729.00, corresponding to a total diesel quantity of 145,864,134.03 liters, broken down as follows:

• RON 8,242,947.00 – Q2/2024 adjustment for the land improvement sector, benefiting 727 beneficiaries, for a total quantity of 4,721,066.322 liters of diesel;
• RON 288,811,069.00 – Q3/2024 payment, benefiting 16,622 beneficiaries, for a total quantity of 141,143,067.708 liters of diesel.

Diesel Aid Value per Liter

The unit value of the state aid, granted in the form of a reimbursement as the difference between the standard excise duty rate and the reduced excise duty rate for diesel purchased during the following periods, is:

• RON 1.746/liter for diesel purchased between January 1 – June 30, 2024
• RON 2.079/liter for diesel purchased between July 1 – December 31, 2024
