Payment and Intervention Agency for Agriculture (APIA) Announcement

Call for Applications: Beekeeping Sector Interventions 2025 under the CAP Strategic Plan 2023-2027

The Payment and Intervention Agency for Agriculture (APIA) informs potential beneficiaries that until July 31, 2025, inclusive, they can submit payment applications and supporting documents for beekeeping sector interventions 2025, funded through:

• The European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF)
• The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD)
• The state budget

Submission of Applications

Applicants must submit a single payment application, accompanied by the necessary supporting documents, either directly or through an authorized representative (notarized proxy/legal representative).

Applications should be submitted to the APIA County Centers or the APIA Bucharest Office, depending on:

• The registered office of the applicant
• The location of the apiary
• The pastoral movement area of the apiary
• The registered office of the beekeeping association in which the applicant is a member

APIA provides all necessary forms and documentation for the implementation of beekeeping sector interventions.

Document Requirements

• Copies of documents must be marked with the phrase “certified true copy”, dated, and signed by the applicant.
• Eligible expenses related to beekeeping interventions must be incurred between January 1 – July 31, 2025.

Financial Support & Exchange Rate

The total financial support allocated for 2025 amounts to €12,163,260, distributed as follows:

• 50% (€6,081,630) from the European Union
• 50% (€6,081,630) from Romania’s state budget

For 2025 payments, the exchange rate is set at 4.9743 RON per euro.

Payment Process

The financial support will be disbursed after APIA completes:

1. Administrative verification of all applications
2. On-site inspections
3. Aggregation of eligible amounts to ensure compliance with the planned unitary value and allocated budget for each intervention under the CAP Strategic Plan 2023-2027
4. Final determination of the eligible payment amount for each application

Record-Keeping Obligation

Beneficiaries must retain and archive all documents related to beekeeping sector interventions for at least 5 years from their issuance date.
