In the Government meeting, the Decision approving the ceilings allocated for national transitional aid in the plant sector for the 2023 application year was adopted.

Thus, the ceilings allocated for national transitional aid in the plant sector, totaling €88,126,943 (equivalent to 438,299,354 lei), are provided from the MADR budget for the year 2024 and will be allocated as follows:

• €84,881,472 for crops on arable land;
• €5,500 for flax and hemp for fiber;
• €1,648,135 for tobacco;
• €83,643 for hops;
• €1,508,193 for sugar beet.

The amounts per unit of measure are calculated by the Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture, by relating the ceilings established by this normative act to the total number of eligible hectares for the year 2023, corresponding to national transitional aid.

The provisions of this decision apply to approximately 557,000 national transitional aid beneficiaries.
