Specialists from ANZM recommend the following priorities for vegetable growers during this period:

1. Seedlings are produced and planting material is prepared for early crops (radishes, spinach, lettuce, early cabbage, and others).

2. Vegetable growers establishing vegetable crops in protected spaces can begin planting for the first production cycle, for which they receive financial support from the state.

3. Also during this month, early potato tubers are prepared for pre-sprouting: disinfection is carried out, and conditions for forcing (ventilation and humidity) are ensured. The quantitative norms for forcing are 250 kg/m², requiring 12-15 m² for one hectare of cultivation.

4. Additionally, during this period, seedling preparation for transplanting is carried out. In this regard, the following tasks will be performed: soil mixture preparation; disinfection of the mixture (40% formalin solution, 2-3%, 30 liters/m², and copper sulfate solution, 2-3%, 30 liters/m²), which is left to act for 7 days with a 14-day rest period, transportation of the mixture (7 m³ for the seedlings needed for one hectare) and filling pots or making nutritional cubes for transplanting (65-75 thousand pieces for the seedlings needed for one hectare).

5. Also during this period, seedbeds are prepared for sowing early tomatoes by constructing a hotbed with dimensions of 56-60 cm thickness, depending on natural conditions, installing stakes, placing windows, monitoring temperature evolution in the seedbed.

6. Regarding the preparation of the soil mixture, it can have different compositions, for example, for early tomatoes: 50% compost, 25% celery soil, 25% sand.
