As recommended by ANZM specialists, during this cold period of February, vegetable growers should carry out the following tasks:
-
Procure seeds, chemical fertilizers, and insect-fungicides necessary primarily for seedling production;
-
Check the condition of autumn crops, draining excess water from the crops if necessary;
-
Continue transporting the manure necessary for nurseries;
-
Begin setting up the nurseries;
-
Sow early cabbage, early cauliflower, and turnips in the nurseries;
-
Vegetable growers with greenhouses can start planting tomatoes and peppers for forced cultivation;
These tasks should be carried out on time.
