As recommended by ANZM specialists, during this cold period of February, vegetable growers should carry out the following tasks:

• Procure seeds, chemical fertilizers, and insect-fungicides necessary primarily for seedling production;
• Check the condition of autumn crops, draining excess water from the crops if necessary;
• Continue transporting the manure necessary for nurseries;
• Begin setting up the nurseries;
• Sow early cabbage, early cauliflower, and turnips in the nurseries;
• Vegetable growers with greenhouses can start planting tomatoes and peppers for forced cultivation;

These tasks should be carried out on time.
