Spring brings blossoming orchards, heralding the level of production in the upcoming summer. For a good harvest under favorable weather conditions, here's what AZM specialists recommend as tasks to be carried out during this period in pomology:
1. If weather permits, pruning for fruiting can be carried out on seed species (apple, pear, quince).
2. On days with temperatures of 3-4 degrees Celsius (or during breaks between frosts), all fruit tree species are sprayed. The first two winter treatments are done at intervals of at least ten days.
3. Shoots grown from the roots (suckers) are removed by pruning.
4. When the ground is still frozen, manure is transported to the orchard. (Photo: Freepik)
