The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development funded today, July 16, 2024, the accounts of the County Agricultural Directorates with the necessary funds for the payment of beneficiaries of the support for the first production cycle of tomatoes.

The support is granted under the state aid scheme for the partial compensation of losses in tomato cultivation in protected spaces, in the context of the crisis caused by Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

Thus, starting tomorrow, July 17, 2024, the amount of 181,095,247.20 lei will reach the accounts of 24,472 beneficiaries from all counties in the country. At the top of the counties with the most beneficiaries is Olt County with 7,923 growers, followed by Galați County with 6,651 producers, and Dolj County with 2,071 farmers.
