During the Government Meeting, the Decision approving the ceilings allocated to transitional national aids in the plant and livestock sectors for the 2024 application year was adopted.
The budgetary impact amounts to approximately 405,251,618 lei (81,452,700 euros) for the plant sector and approximately 606,449,020 lei (121,891,950 euros) for the livestock sector. These funds are provided from the state budget through the budget approved for the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for 2025, representing transitional national payments for the 2024 application year.
"By adopting this decision, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting Romanian farmers and ensuring the continuity of agricultural activities. Transitional national aids represent essential support for producers in the plant and livestock sectors, contributing to their stability and development.
By allocating these funds, we ensure that farmers have the necessary resources to maintain their competitiveness and continue supplying high-quality products to the market," stated Minister Florin BARBU.
