Conforming to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR), the draft Decision for amending Government Decision no. 393/2023 approving the "Minimis Aid for the Implementation of the Garlic Production Support Program" scheme, as well as establishing verification and control measures for 2023, has been posted on the website www.madr.ro, under the "Decisional Transparency" section.

The project aims at two significant modifications to ensure the payment of the entire eligible area planted with garlic within the Program.

According to the normative act, beneficiaries will receive 3,000 euros/hectare cultivated with garlic.

Thus, the financial resources needed to fulfill payment obligations to beneficiaries enrolled in the Minimis Aid scheme within the Program are increased from 29,700,000 lei to 41,200,490 lei (equivalent to 6,001,200 euros to 8,325,000 euros).

At the same time, the payment deadline for amounts representing minimis aid to beneficiaries is extended from December 15, 2023, to December 29, 2023.
