Engineer horticulturists consulted by ANZM recommend the following works for orchard owners:

1. Monitoring, preventing, and protecting plantations against rodent attacks in the orchard.
2. If weather permits, pruning for fruiting can be carried out for seedling species.
3. In bearing plantations, maintenance pruning of trees can be performed to achieve a balance between fruiting and growth processes, removing suckers and shoots from the base.
4. Timely supply of effective and authorized pesticides.
5. Performing winter treatments with specific substances (Bordeaux mixture, lime sulfur solution, mineral oils).
