The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has disbursed the amounts for compensations related to spring crops affected by the 2022 drought to the county agricultural directorates, and next week the money will start to be deposited into the beneficiaries' accounts.

The total amount paid is 280,588,065.59 lei, benefiting 80,315 recipients. The breakdown by counties is provided in the annex.

The support scheme is granted for the following crops that were affected by soil drought by over 30% and up to 100%, as per the damage assessment and evaluation reports:

a) maize; b) sunflower; c) soybean; d) peas.

It should be noted that the amount of 335 lei/ha was approved by OUG50/2023 to establish a state aid scheme in the form of a grant to agricultural producers for certain crops sown in the spring of 2022 and affected by soil drought from March to September 2022.
