APIA Authorizes Final Payments for Over 95% of Eligible Farmers in 2024 Campaign

The Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA) has authorized payments for over 95% of the farmers declared eligible under the 2024 payment campaign.

Between December 2, 2024, and February 21, 2025, a total of 677,761 farmers were authorized for payment, with a total amount of €637,928,827 (equivalent to 3,173,926,408 lei), representing final payments for the 2024 claim year.

From December 2, 2024, to the present date, in accordance with its responsibilities, APIA has disbursed final payments under the 2024 Campaign amounting to €501,022,630.86 (approximately 2,492,737,879.08 lei) from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF/FEGA), benefiting 676,145 applicants.

For the 2024 Campaign, payments under the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD/FEADR) and the national budget co-financing (BN1) for rural development (RD) interventions are managed and made by the Agency for Rural Investment Financing (AFIR).

Payments for interventions financed by EAGF are made in lei, using an exchange rate of 4.9753 lei/euro, while payments for interventions financed by EAFRD are made at an exchange rate of 4.9756 lei/euro.
