The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR), in partnership with Sector 4 City Hall and with the support of Caprirom Sud Muntenia Agricultural Cooperative, is organizing, from March 1st to March 3rd, 2024, the "Poftim din România - Mărțișor de București: Romanian Tastes and Crafts" Fair.

Producers have chosen to kick off spring by gathering in Sector 4 of the capital, at Sudului Market, where they invite you to discover the authenticity and beauty of Romanian crafts.

Here you will be greeted by an atmosphere full of cheerfulness and color, ready to delight your senses and open your heart to the beauties of spring. Those present will be able to admire and purchase the most beautiful and authentic "mărțișoare" (traditional symbols of spring), handmade creations of skilled artisans, intricately crafted traditional Romanian blouses ("ii"), as well as various wooden sculptures.

Visitors will enjoy a diverse offer, having the opportunity to taste and purchase meat, dairy, fruits and vegetables, jams, fruit preserves, juices, syrups, cold-pressed oils, bakery products, bee products, "țuică" (plum brandy) and wine, obtained by Romanian producers through the valorization of local raw materials.

Exhibitors will offer consumers a wide range of traditional Romanian dishes, as well as authentic and diversified local products. Traditional dairy products, meat, spirits, but also products that have obtained the designation "mountain product" such as honey and dairy products, will be exhibited at this fair.

Additionally, the event will feature products that have obtained European protection, such as "Telemea de Sibiu" cheese - IGP, wines - DOC, and visitors will have the opportunity to purchase organic bee products at the fair.

Those attending the fair this weekend will be able to purchase seasonal greens, vegetables, and fruits, as well as preserves made from them, such as zacusca, pickles, compotes, jams, and syrups.

The Miorița ensemble and the students of the Vaideeni Popular Art School will entertain the crowd with traditional dances and songs.

We invite you to celebrate this holiday, marking the transition from winter to spring and symbolizing the rebirth of nature.

The Mărțișor Fair at Sudului Market will be open from March 1st to March 3rd, 2024, between 09:00 and 19:00, and on the last day, March 3rd, 2024, the schedule will be from 09:00 to 16:00.
