Where the chain breaks: critical points that don't appear in reports

In a farm, the final outcome is not determined by a single factor, but by continuity between stages. Real problems arise where the connection between processes does not function, not within the processes themselves.

The transfer between groups is one of these critical points. In the pork sector, weight differences or stress during relocation can affect feed intake for several days, resulting in lost growth that cannot be recovered. In dairy farms, moving animals between groups without proper adaptation leads to ration imbalances and production declines.

Another critical point is the change of personnel or the way the same activity is executed. Even if the procedure remains the same, the method of application differs and generates variations in results.

These “breaks” are not immediately visible and are not directly measured, but they accumulate over time. They explain why two farms with the same resources achieve different outcomes.

Control does not mean just rules, but consistency in execution from one stage to another.
