Crop protection starts from T1!
The main diseases strongly affecting cereal crops emerge as early as spring, such as powdery mildew, eye spot, septoria, and, if environmental factors are favorable, other diseases can appear earlier.
Verben™ is a unique and powerful fungicide, specially created and launched by Corteva Agriscience to ensure the protection of cereals from the first spring treatment. By using Verben™ in the first T1 treatment, we benefit from the curative and preventive power of both active substances contained.
With a clean plant even from T1, we can optimize the technological scheme without compromising production, as the plant will be clean in spring and more resistant to subsequent waves of infection.
A single solution for all major diseases!
Verben™ fungicide is composed of two of the best active substances currently available (proquinazid and prothioconazole). These two active substances have a synergistic effect, enhanced by Corteva's special formulation, to provide maximum power even at low temperatures, adhesion, uniform distribution of active substances, and resistance to washing an hour after application. By using Verben™ at T1, there is no need to add another fungicide to the tank, eliminating the risk of phytotoxicity, pollution, and incompatibility.
In tests conducted by Corteva, Verben™ has proven to be mixable without compatibility problems with most plant protection products, whether growth regulators, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides, commonly used at T1.
Best in powdery mildew control!
Verben™ combats specific diseases, including powdery mildew, even at low temperatures. Tests conducted by Corteva have shown that, in addition to rapid absorption into the plant even at temperatures below 10 °C, Verben™ effectively combats powdery mildew and septoria and remains active due to the synergy of the two substances, even several weeks after application.
Due to its mobility in the plant even at low temperatures, Verben™ acts before symptoms are visible on the mycelial hyphae already present in the crop plant. Verben™ protects cereal crops through its mode of action, both curative and preventive. Through the formulation and synergy of the two active substances, Verben™ provides disease control in all cereal crops, especially powdery mildew.
Verben™, a resistance solution!
Thanks to the two active substances, Verben™ is considered a viable solution in a future where the azole class will be dominant, and the risk of resistance will be very high. By using Verben™, this risk is minimized because both active substances in Verben™ belong to two different chemical classes, which have different modes of action that will prevent the development of disease resistance.
Dosage and use
For wheat and triticale, it can be applied from the tillering stage to flowering (50% flowering spikes), BBCH 25-65, at a dose of 0.6-1l/ha, with the recommended average dose being 0.75l/ha.
For barley and rye, Verben™ can be applied from the tillering stage to the booting stage, BBCH 25-49, at a dose of 0.6-1l/ha, with the recommended average dose being 0.75l/ha.
Verben™ has a very broad spectrum of action, including diseases such as: Erysiphe graminis - Powdery mildew, Septoria tritici - Septoria, Septoria nodorum - Septoria of spikes, Pseudocercosporella herpotrichoides - Eye spot, Puccinia striiformis - Stripe rust, Puccinia recondita - Brown rust, Pyrenophora teres - Leaf blight, Ramularia collo-cygni - Ramularia, Rhynchosporium secalis - Leaf blotch.
By using Verben™ from the first spring treatment, the plant is protected from specific cereal diseases, fortified, and enhanced to provide the highest and highest quality yields.
