AFIR (Agenția pentru Finanțarea Investițiilor Rurale) responds to the needs of investors in agro-industry by publishing the fourth version of the Guide for the Energy Scheme, as follows:
Purpose-Objectives
This scheme based on a competitive bidding procedure applies to projects that aim to:
a) establish new capacities for the production of electric energy from solar sources (under 1 MW inclusive and over 1 MW), with or without integrated storage capacities;
b) establish new capacities for the production of electric energy from wind sources (under 1 MW inclusive and over 1 MW), with or without integrated storage capacities.
Beneficiaries
a. Agricultural enterprises (micro-enterprises, small, medium, and large enterprises, including sole proprietors, family enterprises, individual enterprises, as well as agricultural cooperatives or agricultural cooperative societies that own physical assets for the production and/or processing of agro-food products), legally constituted and registered with the National Trade Register Office (ONRC);
b. Enterprises in the food industry (micro-enterprises, small, medium, and large enterprises, including sole proprietors, family enterprises, individual enterprises), legally constituted;
c. Organizations/federations of land improvement organizations (OUAI/FOUAI), constituted in accordance with Law No. 138/2004 on land improvements, republished, with subsequent modifications and completions.
Non-repayable support: Potential beneficiaries can submit multiple projects only if the investments target different consumption locations, within the limit of 20,000,000 euros per beneficiary.
