The Rural Investment Financing Agency announces the exhaustion of funds available for the DR-27 Creation/Modernization of Agricultural Access Infrastructure and DR-28 Creation/Modernization of Basic Road Infrastructure in Rural Areas within the Common Agricultural Policy Strategic Plan 2023-2027 (CAP SP 2027).
During the period from November 2 to January 5, 2024, AFIR received 189 online funding applications submitted by local authorities for agricultural infrastructure (DR-27). The total value of funding requests is €185.21 million, exceeding the allocation of €100 million.
Regarding basic road infrastructure (DR-28), applicants submitted 455 funding applications, totaling €447 million. The financial allocation for this intervention was €200.9 million.
The funds granted for the construction, expansion, and modernization of agricultural roads to farms through DR-27 intervention, as well as for the construction, expansion, and modernization of local road networks through DR-28 intervention, are 100% non-reimbursable. The maximum value awarded for a project can reach €1,000,000.
Eligible beneficiaries for this type of funding are Administrative-Territorial Units (ATUs) for DR-27, and for DR-28, the beneficiaries are the communes.
