The first agricultural investment projects for which non-refundable funds were requested through AFIR in the new financial programming opened in 2023 have been selected for financing through PS PAC 2027.

The Agency for Rural Investment Financing has published on www.afir.ro the first monthly selection reports for the funding applications submitted in the first stage of the DR-30 Support for Young Farmers Installation intervention within the Strategic Plan for Common Agricultural Policy 2023-2027 (PS PAC 2027).

Thus, in November 2023, young farmers from mountain areas submitted 372 funding applications totaling requests of 26,040,000 euros.

After the monthly evaluation by AFIR, 338 young farmers were selected to receive funding, with funding requests totaling 23,660,000 euros. For the mountainous area, the quality threshold for the first stage of the session was 85 points.

Also, in the first submission stage carried out in November 2023, AFIR received online for the national component 6 funding applications submitted by young farmers through DR-30 totaling 420,000 euros, of which, following the evaluation process, 4 applications totaling 280,000 euros were selected to receive funding. It is worth mentioning that the monthly quality threshold was 85 points.

We remind you that the financial support through this intervention is 100% non-refundable, amounting to 70,000 euros/project, and is granted to young farmers whose funding request has been declared eligible and selected for funding based on eligibility conditions and selection criteria published in the Applicant Guide.

Funds for young farmers are granted based on a Business Plan, in the form of a lump sum, in two installments - a tranche of 75% of the support amount at the signing of the financing contract, and a second tranche of 25% of the support amount, depending on the correct implementation of the Business Plan, without exceeding three years or five years for the fruit-growing and table grape sector, from the signing of the financing contract.
