The vegetable growers enrolled for the minimis aid of 1,000 euros per 1,000 square meters per beneficiary, granted to support vegetable production in protected spaces during the off-season, will receive their due payments this week.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR), through the county agricultural directorates, has already begun making payments under the Program for Vegetables Grown in Protected Spaces. Thus far, the sum of 76.18 million lei has been disbursed to approximately 15,395 program beneficiaries.

Payments will continue this week so that all 19,076 eligible farmers from all counties in the country can receive financial support.

The majority of program applicants are found in the counties of Olt (7,111), Galați (5,170), Giurgiu (1,617), Dolj (1,011), and Buzău (818).
