Eidam Landtechnik has chosen a completely unique concept for its autonomous tractor. The drive unit of the Innomade TK100 is an articulated steering connected to a portal frame, as reported by FutureFarming.

The German agricultural machinery manufacturer Eidam Landtechnik is presenting a prototype of its autonomous tractor at Agritechnica 2023. Eidam is launching the tractor under the name Innomade TK100.

Eidam Landtechnik has opted for a completely unique concept for an autonomous tractor: the drive unit of the Innomade TK100 is an articulated steering connected to a portal frame. The portal frame has a console in the middle with a lifting mechanism.

A second lifting mechanism is mounted on the rear side of the frame, which is supported by a set of wheels. The single-axle drive unit has a lifting mechanism and PTO (Power Take Off) both at the front and at the rear.

The autonomous tractor is entirely new and has not been tested yet. At Agritechnica, the machinery manufacturer equipped the vehicle with a cutting roller in the lifting mechanism, one of the products Eidam Landtechnik produces itself.

Eidam Landtechnik equipped the autonomous tractor Innomade TK100 at Agritechnica with a cutting roller in the lifting mechanism.

A 102 HP methane engine powers the vehicle, called "Triebkopf" in German. Onboard the Innomade TK100 are gas tanks. They contain enough fuel to operate for eight hours at 80% capacity or six hours at maximum power.

The wheel and power take-off operation is hydraulic. Optionally, the rear wheels can also be equipped with steering or pivot.

Moreover, the drive unit can be used without the portal arm. With a pivoting wheel at the front, the vehicle can then rotate around its own axis.

Eidam Landtechnik plans to test the autonomous TK100 tractor in practice for the first time next year.
