The National Bag-In-Box Wine Competition, 8th edition, took place on February 15, 2024, at the LA MAMA - Clubul Taranului Roman restaurant in Bucharest. A total of 208 wines were entered (89 white, 58 rosé, and 61 red).

The jury for selecting the best Bag-In-Box wine was composed of 5 committees, as follows:

President of COMMITTEE 1 - Mr. Catalin Paduraru

President of COMMITTEE 2 - Prof. Dr. Arina Antoce

President of COMMITTEE 3 - Mr. Marian Timofti

President of COMMITTEE 4 - Mr. Sergiu Nedelea

President of COMMITTEE 5 - Mr. Liviu Grigorica

The 38 jury members awarded medals to 73 wines with the title BEST BAG-IN-BOX WINE 2024 (30 white, 21 rosé, and 22 red).

Subsequently, the president of the National Bag-In-Box Wine Competition will select a minimum of 15 wines and promote them internationally by entering them into the "Concours International Wine In Box" in Toulouse, France, www.best-wine-in-box.com, which will take place on March 27, 2024.

Additionally, as a reward for achieving a high score in the competition, the president of the National Bag-In-Box Wine Competition will select a minimum of 15 wines and promote them internationally by entering them into the "VINARIUM International Wine Contest", https://www.iwcb.ro/, which will take place from May 23 to May 26, 2024.

For wineries in Romania, participating in such international competitions is a way to increase visibility on a global scale.

We are proud that in previous years, starting from 2017, Romanian producers have been declared winners at both the Concours International Wine In Box in France and the VINARIUM International Wine Contest.
